NASFAA U Credentialing will be offered as a pre-conference session on Wednesday October 8, from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. There is no cost for the credential session, however, no refreshments will be provided. You may select one of the following credential subjects in the Conference Registration form: Packaging & Notification of AwardsThis course covers the principles and practices of packaging financial aid, including combining funds from multiple sources, communicating awards to students, and managing overawards and appeals in compliance with federal regulations. Professional JudgmentThis course explores the appropriate use of professional judgment to address students’ unique financial circumstances, including decisions about dependency status, aid eligibility, and loan origination—while ensuring consistency, equity, and compliance with Title IV guidelines. Return of Title IV FundsThis course covers the requirements for returning Title IV funds when a student withdraws, including how to determine withdrawal dates, calculate returns, meet deadlines, and process post-withdrawal disbursements in compliance with federal regulations.
