I have served TASFAA in may capacities over the years, and I can honestly say that it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. I have been a member of various committees, served as a co-chair, and currently serve as a member of the Board of Directors. Through my involvement I have had the privilege to observe our leaders in action, and have learned from some of the strongest, most passionate, and dedicated financial aid professionals from across the state.
I began my career in financial aid at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where I earned my Bachelor's degree. I am forever grateful to the leaders at UTSA who introduced me to TASFAA and sparked my love for this crazy profession. I went on to earn my Master's degree in Higher Education Administration at Sam Houston State University, and continued my career in financial aid and involvement in TASFAA in different positions and capacities over the last 15 years. TASFAA, and the friends that I have made along the way, have been a constant and reliable resource for me through career growth, new challenges, and major industry upheaval.
TASFAA is an association whose members care deeply for each other and the cause that we stand for. I would be honored to lead the association and continue to fulfill the mission of supporting financial aid professionals and advocating for our students.
