From the Candidate:

I am a good fit for this position and ask for your vote for TASFAA Board of Directors – At Large because I have a desire to serve and support TASFAA membership.

I entered higher education with the goal of assisting students in navigating the educational process. As Manager, Financial Aid Service at San Jacinto College, I have had the opportunity to do just that and more. I assist a diverse student population by supporting professional development of my staff and the other San Jacinto campuses promoting TASFAA training opportunities. As Credential Committee Chair, I have collaborated with Fall Conference Committees and Regional Training Committees since 2021 to provide credentialing and training opportunities for TASFAA membership.

With this position, I look to continue serving students and their families by supporting TASFAA membership’s professional development. I look to use membership survey feedback as a guide for areas of interest and barometer for future programming. I look to be a voice for membership, and I look to disseminate the information to keep membership aware of TASFAA offerings.

The current positions as well as my experience have prepared me to continue supporting the membership. I ask for your vote.
