From the Candidate:
I’m a Senior Financial Aid Advisor at Abilene Christian University (ACU), where I help students navigate the financial side of higher education with clarity, empathy, and efficiency. I’m also a doctoral candidate in the Doctorate of Organizational Leadership program at ACU, where I focus on how institutions can lead with purpose, equity, and strategic vision in a rapidly evolving landscape.
A proud DFW native, I hold a Master’s degree in Higher Education with an emphasis on Student Affairs Leadership, which shaped my passion for student development, equity, and building inclusive systems. That academic foundation continues to guide my approach as I work to bridge the gap between complex institutional processes and real student needs.
With over a decade of experience in higher education, my work spans financial aid, enrollment services, student engagement, and cross-campus collaboration. I specialize in transforming policy into practice—developing student-centered solutions that balance compliance with compassion and operational excellence with equity. My mission is simple: to help build institutions where students don’t just attend—they succeed.
Beyond my role at ACU, I stay engaged in regional and statewide leadership. I currently serve as the Co-Chair of Access and Diversity for the Southwest Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SWASFAA) and am an active member of the Diversity Committee for the Texas Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (TASFAA). These roles allow me to champion inclusion and access at scale—something I believe higher education must continually prioritize.
When I’m not working or studying, you’ll probably find me listening to music, traveling, mentoring emerging professionals, or diving into a good system that makes life easier for students and staff alike.
