Taryn AndersonHello TASFAA friends!

There is so much going on in TASFAA right now! We are excited to be offering training again and making sure that our membership is up to date on all things financial aid.

We have 90 new financial aid professionals from across the state registered for the New Aid Officers Virtual Workshop.  If you missed an opportunity to participate keep an eye out for additional training for new aid officers in October.

Regional Training was a huge success with more than 500 TASFAA members registering to participate in Zoom training about Professional Judgement, Federal updates, and State updates. If you missed out you can still access the training materials (videos and power points) HERE. Thank you to the Regional Training Committee for sharing your knowledge.

The Legislative Issues Committee has been tracking all the happenings at the federal and state level.  While the state activity around higher ed is quiet right now, things at the federal level seem to be changing every week.  We will continue sending updates via email as they happen, as well as posting links on the Legislative Issues page.

The next Board Meeting is May 11th.  All TASFAA members are invited to join.  Please register for the virtual meeting in advance: https://zoom.us/meeting/register/tJItdu6rrjstGtcvUHwbHGay7bW1Bky0DeRm

Save the date for our Fall Training Conference at the Sheraton Austin Georgetown Hotel and Conference Center for our Conference October 6-8, 2021. I look forward to seeing you there!
